Orca When we moved to Vancouver Island, we took our first ferry ride from the mainland. During the sail all the passengers started rushing to one side of the ferry. There beside us swam a pod of small whales. It was beautiful to see and it felt like a fine welcome for us. 19 oz. beer glass 7” high |

Sea Otter My son and I were down at a rocky beach one day and a sea otter came close to check us out. He had managed to find a snack and was bobbing on his back in the water, holding his catch on his front. 11 oz. wine glass 7 3/4” high |

Eagle Eagles thrive here on the island. If you keep an eye open for a bare tree top you are likely to see one sitting up there checking things out. When they open up their huge wings and swoop down to the water to pick up a big fish, it is a breathtaking sight. 10.6 oz. coffee cup 3 1/2” high |

Grizzly Bear Bears are known for their strength and furiousness. When you live in bear country a person must respect their space and then they will leave you alone. A bear looks remarkably like a human being when it stands up on its hind legs. It is unfathomable that they could be hunted by anything but a camera. 10.6 oz. whiskey glass 3 1/2” high |

Maple West Coast trees are famous for their amazing size and the Maples are no different. One windy day in autumn I took a walk. The ground was covered with leaves. I picked up one of the biggest maple leaves that I had ever seen. It was a little off center and bent. Perfect. 19 oz. beer glass 7” high |
